Veronique Hogervorst (NL | Noordwijk ZH | September 17, 1971) is an artist and Buddhist practitioner who creates drawings, texts, and frequently music and film on a daily basis, in order to enlighten herself and the world.
Artistic Expression: Veronique’s art reflects profound aspects of human existence. Her daily drawings (Tekenblog) raise questions about individuality, alienation and loneliness, and stimulate introspection. She invites viewers to embrace the unique human experience and connect with other life forms on this planet, especially plants, with which we are intimately connected, even if we often ignore it.
Embracing the Experience: Veronique embraces the human experience as an opportunity for spiritual growth and insight. She emphasizes that individuality, alienation and loneliness, despite their negative connotations, can be sources of deep self-discovery, and encourages not to avoid or numb suffering, but to use it to explore uniquely human qualities.
Inspiration from Vajrayana Buddhism: Veronique has connected her spiritual path to Vajrayana Buddhism and Bardo philosophy.
